One World One Heart 2011

Yay – the One World One Heart event is on!
For the first year I am participating in this blogger event, and I’m super excited to welcome bloggers from all over the world on my blog.

If you never heard of One World One Heart: it is a worldwide event for bloggers. It gives all those who blog a chance to meet and mingle and form connections with those they may not have otherwise met from all over the world.

So, if you visit my blog for the first time: Welcome!!!!

My name is Judith Billig and I am a glass bead maker. Each bead is individually crafted using a centuries-old technique called lampworking (also called flameworking) in whch molten glass is wrapped around a stainless steel rod to create the glass bead.

I make glass beads, but I also design jewelry using mainly semi-precious stones, sterling silver, Swarovski crystals and of course my own lampwork beads.

My blog is first and foremost about my passion: glass, color and lampworking. But you’ll find also a lot of tips and tricks, useful links and the occasional chit-chat about my family, friends and life here in the Pacific North-West.

I bet you’re wondering already about my One World One Heart door price? 🙂
One of my visitors here will receive this fabulous big hole bead. The bead is hand cored with genuine sterling silver core and finished off with brass bead caps that have a fine hammered texture. It will come strung on a braided black necklace ready to wear.

What do you have to do to be in the draw for this bead? Just say hello! Simply leave a comment on this blog post, and if you want, I would love it if you can tell me a bit about you! And please leave an email address for me so that I know how I can contact you.

At the end of the event (Feb.17) I will draw the winner of the prize and announce it here on the blog. Of course I’ll also email you, so that I can get your shipping address!

I hope you enjoy looking around in my blog, and remember to leave a comment HERE on my Icarus Beads blog!

  19. Hi Judith, Love your beads, but oh so dangerous. All that fire, I don't trust myself around sharp knifes and hot flames. I work with tempered glass, that's as daring as I get.

  20. Oh WOW. That is stunning, fascinating…what other words can I use?! Just magical. That is a talent I do not have but love adorning myself with art from those who do!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to win…I'm still dreaming of those colors. 🙂
